Arcade Agency is looking for a Design Intern to work in their Downtown Toronto studio. Arcade is a boutique marketing agency with strong ties to art and fashion – our clients include Nike, Hudson’s Bay Company, Canada Goose and Oh! Henry. Arcade Agency is offering students and recent graduates the opportunity to learn and develop the skills necessary for a successful career in Design, Marketing and Advertising.

As an intern at Arcade, you will have the opportunity to gain practical hands-on experience developing, pitching and presenting creative concepts, designing and illustrating in addition to helping us produce a wide variety of creative projects in web, motion, print and experiential. In this position you would be reporting to the Senior Designer/Creative Director.

Applicants must be creative, intelligent, have a good sense of humor, hardworking, easy going, and have a hunger for culture, arts, music, and design. Must illustrate a strong attention to detail, be proactive, self-starters, follow instructions, and be comfortable solving problems independently. A solid understanding of Adobe Creative Suite is a must. The position is full-time for a minimum duration of 3 months. This is a non-paid internship, however could lead to full time position for right candidate. Monthly transportation is provided.

• Assist with project designs, production of special projects/events
• Research and develop creative concepts
• Design and help develop creative marketing materials for presentations, websites and blogs
• Learn how to develop creative ideas and marketing strategies
• Extensive design research for projects

• Must possess passion for design, art and culture
• Must posses excellent time management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to work on tight deadlines
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must possess excellent people skills and be able to communicate effectively
• Must have a strong interest in marketing, branding and advertising; media and brand savvy, culturally aware
• Strong understanding of web communications, blogs, flickr, Myspace, Facebook, Twitter etc.
